Description of Holiday Cottage

The house is heated by oil-fired central heating. There is also an open fireplace for that relaxed, holiday feeling. There are wooden floors throughout. All furniture is new and the mattresses are semi-orthopaedic. A cot is available on request. See the photo link for up-to-date photos.

Downstairs there's a double bedroom with en-suite shower, basin and toilet. This is a lovely bright room, with front and back windows and a roof light.

The bedroom leads into the kitchen, which is also finished to the highest standard. The floor has been retiled with the tiles from the original house, and the front door is a traditional half-door. The rest of the kitchen is thoroughly modern however. Features include dish-washer, washing machine, dryer, microwave, cooker, breakfast counter and a dinner table for six.

The kitchen and living-room are semi open-plan. The living room houses the traditional television. The main feature of the room is a red-brick old-fashioned fireplace surrounded by comfortable sofas. There are South-facing patio doors leading out towards the garden and the road. The stairs leads to the upper bedrooms and bathroom, via a hall lit by a skylight.

The main bedroom upstairs is a large room with a double bed. There are West and South facing windows. This room has no en-suite but it's just across from the bathroom.

The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, basin and whirlpool bath. The bath can of course also be used in the old-fashioned non-whirlpool manner. There is a shower over the bath. The bathroom is lit by a skylight which also shows the top of the mountain behind the house.

The third bedroom has two single beds. This room has one of the best views across Kells Bay and over to Dingle Bay. The en-suite has a little window facing North-West, as well as a shower, basin and toilet.
